“An Excellent Guy”

“Excellent Guy” or “Liar”

October 31, 2017

George Papadopoulos was trashed by Trump today, after being indicted in the Russia inquiry.  Papadopoulos pleaded guilty weeks ago to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian nationals, who had contacted him in an attempt to gain influence with the Trump campaign.  Papadopoulos worked as a volunteer in the Trump campaign and President Trump today trashed him as a “low level volunteer” and “liar.”  This is the same foreign policy advisor Trump once called “an excellent guy.”

So we can clearly see who is the source of most of the “fake news” in Washington, D.C.;  it is President Trump who daily generates his own firestorm of fakery to deflect attention from the real problem in Washington, which is the sitting President!  The other aides charged in the FBI inquiry into the alleged Russian meddling in the U.S. election are former campaign chief Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, who appeared in court Monday to answer to charges of money laundering and “conspiracy against the United States,” over the period from 2006-2017, which includes the period over the summer when Mr. Manafort served as manager of the Trump campaign.  (BBC News, October 31, 2017)

Special Counsel to the Justice Department, Robert Mueller’s inquiry into the Trump campaign is just beginning, despite the White House’s assertion through their spokeswoman, Ms. Sanders, who said, “We have confidence that it’s [i.e. the Russian inquiry] is going to come to a close in a short time.”  Dream on, sister, dream on!

If anyone still has any confidence in this President, then they need to stand up and be counted.  You can join Mr. Trump in prison when he is indicted for his own money laundering with Russia in the beginning of his campaign.  It will prove immensely interesting when we learn that Russian money helped finance Trump’s campaign.  Even more interesting will be the final revelations relating to Mr. Trump’s tax returns, which will be used to show finally that he also lied to the U.S. government about his own dealings in Russia.  This is likely the reason Trump refused to release his tax returns.  He only believes in transparency in government when it applies to Hillary Clinton or former President Obama.  His own sins of omission and commission are excluded from being known, lest someone might discover he is the greatest liar in Washington and his crimes are manifold more grievous than anything anyone else has done who came before him!

In the fairness of our judicial principles, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, not in a court of public opinion.  Right now, all that we know for sure is a lot of public opinion, including my own.  However, a man of Robert Mueller’s integrity and judicial prowess will eventually ferret out the truth, even in the snake pit known as Washington, D.C.  Despite President Trump’s belief that he is above the law and can operate with impunity, a rude awakening is coming for him!  Whether he will be removed from office is pure speculation.  But he may indeed be proven to be the liar that he is!  Once that is done, he can be tried and retried in the court of public opinion for as long as they both shall live.  Trump has run from the truth, skirted around the truth, denied the truth, deflected the truth, trashed the truth, and denigrated all those who oppose him in any way.  So in fairness to Trump, let him only be judged by the same standard with which he has already judged his fellow men and women!

The voice of one crying in this wilderness, “Make straight in the desert a highway for our God!”

“Amen and Amen!”
